9th week update: Collaborative Efforts, Company Visit, and FM Channel Messages

In the ninth week of our food waste management project at MAS Intimate Pannala, we achieved significant progress through collaboration, a company visit, and advancing in video production. Additionally, we focused on refining FM channel message topics for effective communication. Here is a summary of the key activities and accomplishments during this week:

  1. Finalizing FM Channel Message Topics: During Week 9, we diligently selected and improved the topics for the FM channel messages. Our aim was to effectively convey the importance of food waste management, raising awareness, and encouraging behavioral changes among the audience.

Meeting with Dr. Thushanthi: In our pursuit of continuous improvement, we had a valuable meeting with Dr. Thushanthi, seeking her expert guidance. We discussed upcoming activities and gained valuable insights to enhance the impact and effectiveness of our project. Dr. Thushanthi's input played a crucial role in shaping our future plans.

Project Meeting: A productive project meeting took place during the week, allowing team members to share updates, address challenges, and align efforts towards achieving project objectives. We emphasized open communication and collaboration to ensure everyone was working towards the common goal. The meeting was held at NutriHub.

Company Visit to MAS Intimates: The highlight of Week 9 was our visit to MAS Intimates, where we engaged in fruitful discussions with Mr. Sandaruwan, the project officer, and a food wastage record keeper. They provided us with two months' worth of food wastage data, which will be analyzed and presented graphically to gain valuable insights. This data will aid in developing effective strategies for food waste reduction and management.

Ongoing Video Production: Our commitment to video production remained unwavering during Week 9. We continued to capture and document various aspects of food waste management, intending to create engaging videos with informative content. These videos will play a crucial role in spreading awareness and promoting sustainable practices within MAS Intimate Pannala.

During Week 9 of our food waste management project, we made significant strides through collaboration, the company visit, and progress in video production. The finalization of FM channel message topics, the meeting with Dr. Thushanthi, the project meeting, and the acquisition and analysis of food wastage data were key achievements during this period. We remain dedicated to making a positive impact in reducing food waste at MAS Intimate Pannala and eagerly look forward to further progress in the upcoming weeks.
